Pink Socialism explores the tension between collective structures and fragile individuality through an unstable visual landscape suspended between abstraction and memory. Gestural black lines move across the paper like provisional architectures or social boundaries, disrupting pools of saturated color that appear both organic and psychological.
Part of my ongoing exploration of material abstraction, Pink Socialism expands my material language on paper through the use of ballpoint pen and wool alongside acrylic, oil pastel, and charcoal. The textile elements introduce subtle tensions between drawing and object, gesture and repair, surface and structure.
The work reflects on instability as a condition of contemporary society and human coexistence, where forms resist fixed definitions and remain open, fragmented, and unresolved.
