Barbara D'Angelo Månsson
Barbara D'Angelo Månsson is an Italian-Swedish artist based in Sweden. Her painting practice is built through gesture, interruption, and reassembly. Working with acrylic, charcoal, oil pastel, wool and cotton threads on canvas, she creates unstable pictorial fields in which inserted thread acts as line, suture, obstacle, and deviation. Her recent works explore how an image holds together under pressure. Rather than seeking harmony, they remain negotiated and off-balance - shaped by tension between force and softness, instinct and structure, disruption and form.
