In Faulty Lines, I treat abstraction as a destabilized system—one that proposes order, then continuously interrupts it. The painting is constructed through layered acrylic and drawn marks, where looping blue trajectories suggest circuits, routes, or diagrams, while dense orange and yellow zones operate as blocks of pressure within the field. Pink accents register as brief pulses, and darker marks function as interruptions—moments where the image glitches, stalls, and redirects.Rather than concealing revision, I keep erasure, scratching, and reworking visible, so the surface reads as a record of correction and drift. The composition becomes a diagram of imperfect logic: structure and impulse coexisting, a choreography of re-routing where “fault” turns into language.
